Dr. Rodrigo is currently the President of Ambulatory Anesthesia Management Group, LLC (AAMG) based in Charleston, SC which specializes in outpatient ambulatory surgeries including a very robust ASC total joint replacement program.
Before starting AAMG in 2016, Dr. Rodrigo started his career at Roper Hospital in Charleston and was the Director of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management for 8 years where he and his team performed over 7000 nerve blocks a year, including over 2200 continuous nerve catheters.
In 2014, Dr. Rodrigo was recruited to Baltimore, MD to become the Chairman of Anesthesia and Director of Peri-Operative Medicine at Medstar Harbor Hospital. While there he was tasked with re-inventing the anesthesia department as well as streamlining all peri-operative services, increase OR efficiency and reduce overall costs.
Then in 2016, Dr. Rodrigo was recruited back to South Carolina by a group of surgeons to provide anesthesia services and design a cutting-edge outpatient joint replacement and spine surgery program. The opportunity was too good to pass up and Dr. Rodrigo formed AAMG and now provides anesthesia services at 3 ambulatory facilities and has one of the largest ASC-based joint replacement programs in the southeast US.
Additionally, Dr. Rodrigo followed a passion and interest in Aviation Medicine and was recently designated by the FAA as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) to medically certify pilots to safely fly and now also operates iFly Physicals, LLC in Charleston.

• Developed guidelines and protocols for patient selection, clearance and safety
• Developed a robust outpatient total joint replacement program focusing on very strict detailed protocols. We had zero postoperative hospital admissions
• Handled all contract negotiations with insurance companies
