About Colby

Board-certified in Public Health & General Preventive Medicine with additional master degrees in public health and biomedical informatics, I combine clinical, population health, data science, and real-world expertise to tackle health care's biggest challenges.

Trained at Harvard and Vanderbilt with multiple peer-reviewed publications and dozens of international and national conference oral and poster presentations, I’m experienced with medical writing, study design, and a myriad of statistical analyses with multiple software packages including R & Stata.

With three graduate degrees and three post-graduate training programs under my belt, I’m also adept at reviewing CVs & personal statements for pre- & post-graduate medical education.

I’m also a self-taught programmer with multiple medical applications on Google Play and the Apple App Store with one application now endorsed by the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. This endorsement led to representatives from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) consulting me on medical mobile app design.

Clinically, I’m experienced with aerospace, travel, occupational, preventive, and lifestyle medicine. I’ve focused most of my research on occupational disability, medical readiness, human performance, and clinical decision support. During my last full-time clinical role as a Flight Surgeon for Keesler Air Force Base, MS, I was ranked as the top physician among my other 73 peers.
