About Aamir

He is the author of over 50 original research, review articles, chapters and invited communications. In addition to industry sponsored and non-sponsored research, he recently successfully completed a CMS Innovation grant. He is an examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
He is a co-editor and manuscript reviewer for many journals.  He has participated in CMS technical panels, the development of clinical practice guidelines, quality performance measures and international care guidelines. He has worked with the PCPI for many years. He is the chairman of the Quality and Performance measures committee of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is board member of the National Quality Registry Network Advisory Panel which support technology and infrastructure for improved patient clinical outcomes. He has lectured on many subjects including direct clinical care, quality program initiatives, project and department development, academic budget management, national quality initiatives, avoidance of hospital acquired conditions.
He has previously served on the board of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel and consultant for the Smith and Nephew 2020 project.

Completed a bachlor of arts in English from johns hopkins university in 1986 prior to entering medical school.
After 3 years of general surgery residency he did a 2 years research fellowship in wound healing science basic and clinical.

Dr. Aamir Siddiqui is the Division Head of Plastic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, an 800 bed Level I tertiary care center in Detroit Michigan.  He is board certified in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery and is associate professor of Surgery at Wayne State School of Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on general plastic surgery, reconstruction, skin cancer and hand surgery. He is involved in the teaching and training of plastic surgery residents, general surgery residents and medical students.

Research Interests
